The Rockies are the second Wild Card team, having lost to the Los Angeles Dodgers in their Game 163 tiebreaker to decided the NL West champ.

The Dodgers, beaten by the Houston Astros in the World Series past year, will now advance to a best-of-five divisional series against the Atlanta Braves starting in Los Angeles on Thursday. The Brewers and Cubs' game is bound to be a battle, one that will either end with Wrigley faithful raising the W or getting ready for an Major League Baseball playoffs Wild Card game against the Dodgers or the Rockies.

The Dodgers put some pressure on Marquez in the second when Manny Machado managed a weak liner into center for a single, the first hit of the game. Marquez will oppose rookie right-hander Walker Buehler (7-5, 2.76), who has faced the Rockies five times this season.

Charlie Blackmon hit an RBI double in the eighth inning to complete the cycle, and the Colorado Rockies beat the Washington Nationals 12-0 Sunday in Denver to tie the Los Angeles Dodgers for first place in the National League West.

A Rockies win will be the team's first-ever division crown.

Marquez faltered again in the fifth, giving up a double to Joc Pederson and then another two-run homer, this time to Max Muncy to extend the lead to 4-0. Travis Shaw added a solo homer for Milwaukee, which finished the 162-game schedule on a seven-game winning streak.

Canada, US in last-minute NAFTA deal
Reuters reported Sunday that Lighthizer and White House adviser Jared Kushner planned to brief Trump on Sunday. Mexico has also scrambled to try and ensure that the Nafta pact remains trilateral.

The Dodgers were given a scare when closer Kenley Jansen was pounded for home runs by Nolan Arenado and Trevor Story in the ninth with no outs.

"It's two of the best young starting pitchers in the big leagues pitching in this type of game", Rockies manager Bud Black said. He completely shut down the Rockies lineup, allowing just one hit in 6 2/3 scoreless innings. In 2007, they beat the San Diego Padres to earn a wild-card berth, and then went on to sweep through the NL playoffs on the way to the World Series.

Buehler did not allow Colorado to record a hit until there was one out in the sixth.

But with the starting pitching and lineup as devastating as it is, there's a unsafe team in Los Angeles, one that's hungrier than ever. The Dodgers have a better team ERA (3.41) than Colorado (4.36) but the Rockies have a better team batting average (.256) compared to the Dodgers'.249 average.

Buehler even helped himself offensively, hitting a single in the sixth for his first professional RBI and extending the Dodgers' lead to 5-0.

Bellinger got the Dodgers' offense going with a two-run home run in the fourth inning, his 25th of the season.
