Staples Center played host to a game between the Los Angeles Lakers and Houston Rockets on Saturday night, and in the fourth quarter, it was also a site of an on-court brawl.

Paul was suspended two games without pay for what the league described in an official statement as "poking at and making contact with the face of (Rajon) Rondo, and throwing multiple punches at him". Paul received two games for punching Rondo. Paul alleges Rondo spit in his face which forced Paul to stick a hand in Rondo's.

Paul served the first game of his suspension on Sunday as the Rockets fell to the Clippers 115-112.

Paul will forfeit $491,781 in salary, Rondo $186,206, and Ingram $158,817.

"Well, it was better than we expected", Ingram said at the Monday morning shootaround before the Lakers played the San Antonio Spurs.

If the fist fight itself was not so focused on the individuals I would understand there not being some sort of tension. The two could be seen having what seemed to be an emotional discussion, when Paul took offense to Rondo for allegedly spitting on him.

Harden, for his part, said of the suspensions and fines handed down by the league: "It is what it is".

Trump to rally Republican support in Nevada ahead of midterm elections
Nancy Pelosi of California. "Here in Nevada , personal incomes have reached an all-time high, congratulations", Trump said. But Congress is on the ticket and I try and tell my people - "that's the same thing as me in a sense".

As that situation calmed, Paul and Rondo were face to face and that's when the fight, with several punches thrown ensued.

This one incident alone is definitely not something to cause us to run to the NBA Trade Machine and try to work out a deal for Ingram.

He won't be the only player missing time.

"In the heat of the moment when somebody does that, that's tough, that's really tough", D'Antoni said.
That's blatant disrespect. You don't do that. Players from both teams broke up the fight quickly by separating the players involved, though.

Rondo's teammates said they didn't know whether Paul's claim was accurate.

VanDeWeghe clearly indicated that Rondo did not acknowledge spitting on Paul.

The game was the home debut of three-time National Basketball Association champion James and ended with a 124-115 defeat for the Lakers.
