Brock Lesnar is once again the reigning and defending Universal Champion after beating Braun Strowman for the title at WWE Crown Jewel.

After being announced as a featured talent for WWE's Crown Jewel show in Saudi Arabia earlier his week, Hulk Hogan officially made his WWE return at the event today.

In a mid-October episode of his HBO show, John Oliver accused WWE of giving legitimacy to Saudi Arabia's "wall-to-wall propaganda" and willfully ignoring the kingdom's human rights abuses.

In a one-on-one match, AJ Styles will look to defend his WWE Championship against Samoa Joe. There will be a one-hour Kickoff Show beginning on Friday morning at 10CT/11ET. Unlike the previous event (WWE Greatest Royal Rumble), Crown Jewel has needed the WWE to clarify their position on hosting of event in Riyadh following the killing of a journalist allegedly by the Saudi government.

Sheamus, Cesaro, and The Big Show are now a threat to be reckoned with and they're not going to take any opponent lightly just as they're not going to go easy on any of them either.

The big talking points; Hulk Hogan emerging at the start of the broadcast to his "Real American" theme - a genuinely surreal sight and sound given the location and surrounding circumstances - and Crown Jewel ending with a McMahon standing tall for some reason.

The WWE star appeared on Raw on Wednesday night, looking much skinnier than usual.
