Authorities are seeking the public's help in locating a man in a pickup truck who pulled up next to a auto that was leaving a Houston-area Walmart parking lot Sunday and started shooting, killing Barnes inside the vehicle and wounding the girl's mother.

A Texas sheriff has released the names of a daughter and mother who were shot when a man in pickup truck pulled up next to the auto they were in and opened fire. Deputies say a 7-year-old girl and the woman were shot.

Cevilla said his daughter was "loving, caring, very passionate with people, very sweet, just a innocent young girl, very smart in school". The two other sisters were unharmed.

Investigators said they are still trying to determine a motive for the shooting.

Authorities described the suspect as a bearded white man in his 40s, and he remains at large.

The image of the red, four-door pickup was captured shortly before the shooting occurred Sunday morning, Harris County sheriff's Lt. Christopher Sandoval told reporters. "A total of 5 occupants in the auto witnessed this child, their loved one, shot and killed before their eyes".
