DeMar DeRozan records first career triple-double against Raptors

In July past year, DeRozan was traded to the Spurs along with Raptors teammate Jakob Poeltl and a protected first-round pick in exchange for Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green.

Popovich and Leonard hugged and had a long discussion after the Spurs' win over the Raptors on Thursday. "Everybody is anticipating the game".

"He's continuing to develop slowly but surely for us", said Raptors head coach Nick Nurse.

The four-time All-Star recorded the first triple-double of his 10-year career against his former team as he finished the night with 21 points (on 7-for-15 shooting), 14 rebounds and 11 assists in 33 minutes of action. "He's been a great teammate, a great friend to me, he deserves that". I guess in the bigger picture, it really is just another game. One thing they've considered is playing a tribute for both Leonard and Green together to soften the reaction. "So I felt badly, in all honesty".

"That's why I probably don't feel it as much now, probably Toronto for sure".

Maybe we should have seen this coming. But for us, it's about just trying to get better, create better habits on both ends of the floor.

Floyd Mayweather leaves Japanese kickboxer in tears in fight farce
As you can see, the five-division world champion apparently has no inclinations to return to the ring for a legitimate bout. After the smoke cleared, it became a three-round boxing match, falling fully in Mayweather's wheelhouse.

"I'm looking forward to it", Raptors coach Nick Nurse said hours before tip-off.

The game was the first time Leonard had faced San Antonio since he requested a trade and was sent to Toronto this summer. I think that goes without saying the kind of people that the community of San Antonio are, and the class and how family-oriented this city is.

Even in a small sample, it's wild how the presence of Green does that much for Toronto in Kawhi-centric lineups. I left a team, and it was not good blood there.

"I have no ill will towards him, nothing at all", DeRozan said.

The next confusing, strange, inspiring yet nearly heartbreaking chapter of this saga will be written on February 22nd, when DeRozan returns to Toronto for the first time in a non-Raptors uniform.
